BAPRM 3 STUDENTS HAD MOTIVATION FROM BOBBY, GUEST FROM USA.

"Use your education for your betterment of other people" Those were words from Mr. Bobby McDonald from USA when talking to third year students of Public Relations and Marketing at St. Augustine University of Tanzania. He was invited by Mr. Albert Tibaijuka.

Mr. Bobby talked about Public Relations profession where he said,''as Public Relations Personal you need to do what you can to advertise your country internationally", this is because we have failed to do so and Kenyans have used that opportunity to advertise to Americans that Mountain Kilimanjaro as well as Serengeti National Park are in Kenya while in reality they are in Tanzania.

He suggested that the best thing that Tanzania can do is to make partnership with Kenya so as to make East Africa stronger. This will be a good start for Tanzania.

He was also able to talk a bit about the government policies as one of the students asked a question about it. Mr. McDonald said that you can work harder as an individual or as a group to improve your life because you as one person its hard to change the government policy but you can change yourself.

Tanzania is blessed with so many things that are marketable outside the country. It is blessed with products such as cultural items which include clothes and sandals that most outsiders like to wear, Tanzanians have our traditional dances that are very interesting to watch. These are among the things that we can use to advertise the country. We can promote it through adverts, different programs from different televisions, sports, movies and anywhere possible, Mr. Bobby leave the message to the students that ''find ways to make Tanzania stronger from the education you have''.
